Hey guys,

 

I hope all is well with everyone! I am doing well myself. Lately, I’ve been finding comfort in a few scriptures and thought to share some of them with you all. I hope that you can find comfort in them too.

 

I try to memorize verses so that when I find myself worrying or dwelling on past hurts, I could remind myself that God loves me, that He will comfort me and give me the strength to deal with the obstacles in my life.

Biblical Scriptures for When Life is Painful 

 

1. God has a  GOOD plan for your life.

 

 

Jeremiah 29:11(NIV)

11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

 

 

2. God is close to you.

 

 

Psalm 34:18(NIV)

18 The Lord is close to the brokenhearted
and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

3. God is your strength.

26 My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart
and my portion forever.

4. God’s love is unfailing. 

 

 

Psalm 147:11(NIV)

11 the Lord delights in those who fear him,
who put their hope in his unfailing love.

5.  Trust in God; He will give you hope.

13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

6. God will continue His work in you. 

Phillippians 1:6(NIV)
being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

7.  God will bless you with strength and show you grace.

10 And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.

8.  God’s salvation will be pain-free living.

 

 

Revelation 21:4(NIV)

‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
